First, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my wonderful clients for making my first year in business such a success. It never would have been possible without your loyalty and referrals, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. As most of you know, the business opened in March of 2007 and we have literally worked our way up from having no clients, to having over 350 clients, and from one employee, to having six employees. We have had many struggles along the way; the buy-out of my partner after only four months in business, missing the deadline for our Yellow Pages ad and therefore having no advertisement, and a multitude of other "new business" kinks I had to work out. BUT, through it all, I have never had to worry about my clients not supporting me. I consider each and every one of you a friend and I'm so happy to have met you all and your furry friends- I'm so lucky to have you as my clients! I want you all to know that it is my most sincere desire to take the best care possible of all of your dogs while they are in my care. This has always been and will always be the foundation of this business so please let me know if there is any way we can serve you better, and I truly mean that.
One of the ways I am trying to do that is by expanding my retail selection. We now have Lupine leashes and collars, Doggy Decadent dog treats and I would like to expand with Innova and Evo dog foods, and a new selection of "daycare tested" toys. Please let me know if there are other products you would like me to carry.
We will also be offering dog obedience classes sometime this summer. Most of you already know that Holly, the manager, is currently completing her externship in dog obedience and will be a certified dog trainer when she is done. This will be a wonderful addition of services to our facility and we have already had alot of interest in the classes.
And finally, I feel that the business is at a new stage in its development; we have a GREAT staff team, a wonderful core base of daycare dogs, and we've been able to make some upgrades in the facility that have been a longtime coming (like this website!). I look at the future and only see great things for It's A Dog's Life and I have all of you to thank for it!

New Policy Alerts
Due to the substantial increase in the number of daycare dogs we currently have, we are now requiring reservations to be made in advance. You must give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your reservation so that we can schedule a new dog in that reserved space. Any "no-show" or late cancellations will be recorded on your daycare package card, the same as if your dog were here. Up to this point, I have been absorbing "no-shows" and late cancellations myself, but I can no longer financially do this. In order for me to offer my employees the job security they need to work here, I need to schedule a certain number of dogs per day and staff a certain number of employees to care for them. When you don't show up for your reservation, I still have to pay my employees and can longer do this without charging you for it. Although I hate to implement this policy, this situation happens so frequently that I now have to charge you for it in order to keep the daycare fully staffed at all times.
Please see our other policies and NEW policies on the "Our Policies" page.
